Kanye West’s downward spiral reached a new low this week when Australia’s immigration minister confirmed the rapper’s visa had been cancelled following his release of a Nazi-themed song.
West, who now goes by Ye, released “Heil Hitler” in May featuring disturbing lyrics including “So I became a Nazi yea, bitch I’m the villain” and “Nigga Heil Hitler,” while the music video shows men in animal skins chanting the title phrase before closing with an excerpt from a 1935 Adolf Hitler speech.

“He’s been coming to Australia for a long time. He’s got family here,” Burke said, referring to West’s wife, Australian architect Bianca Censori, whose family lives in Melbourne. “But my officials looked at it again once he released the ‘Heil Hitler’ song, and he no longer has a valid visa in Australia.”
“If you’re going to have a song and promote that sort of Nazism, we don’t need that in Australia. We have enough problems in this country already without deliberately importing bigotry.”
West’s Hitler obsession has been in public view for a while. In February, he began posting a barrage of antisemitic content on X, writing “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi” while declaring “I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments.”
During that same period, West ran a Super Bowl advertisement directing viewers to his Yeezy website, where he was selling a $20 t-shirt emblazoned with a black swastika. The shirt was labeled “HH-01,” which is widely recognized code for “Heil Hitler.” Shopify quickly removed his store, stating the merchant “violated our terms.”

As a result, West’s talent agency “33 & West” dropped him and in March, Adidas announced it had finally sold its last pair of Yeezy sneakers. Multiple streaming platforms such as Spotify and SoundCloud have banned his Hitler-praising content while venues worldwide have grown increasingly reluctant to host his performances.
West’s antisemitic statements have also triggered a wave of legal troubles. Former assistant Lauren Pisciotta filed a bombshell lawsuit claiming sexual assault and seeking $3 million in unpaid severance. A former Yeezy employee identified only as “Jane Doe” alleges West fired her after sending a text reading “Hail Hitler,” according to her discrimination lawsuit.
Multiple former employees have sued over alleged workplace discrimination, with several claiming West frequently made antisemitic comments and once wore a swastika t-shirt around staff. Project manager Murphy Aficionado alleged in his lawsuit that West called someone a “Jewish spy” and made other discriminatory remarks.
West’s visa cancellation comes as Australia grapples with rising antisemitic incidents, with officials reporting increased attacks in cities like Sydney and Melbourne over the past year.
