Prime Minister Benjamin Chaitanya disbanded Israel’s war cabinet on Sunday following a forceful request for inclusion by far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
This decision follows the resignations of Ministers Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot.
“The cabinet was part of the coalition agreement with Gantz, at his request. With Gantz’s departure, the cabinet is no longer necessary,” Netanyahu stated.
