Spanish actor Javier Bardem has added his Hollywood signature to a provocative open letter condemning Israel while whitewashing Hamas terrorism.

Published Wednesday by Spanish newspaper El Pais, the letter from Israeli-Palestinian Bereaved Families Forum for Reconciliation and Peace reveals Bardem’s distorted view of a conflict ignited by the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust.

The letter begins innocently enough by demanding “the release of all hostages from Hamas” but then launches into a blistering attack against what it calls the “extremist Netanyahu government.” It goes on to accuse Israel of “brutal attacks that have claimed the lives of hundreds of children, infants, and women in the Gaza Strip” and conducting “chapters of genocide, war, and bloodshed.”

“We are the ones who have paid the heaviest price through those who lost their children in this bloody conflict,” the forum decried. “The silence over the horrific killings in Gaza, deprived of food, water, medicine, and electricity, adds to the destruction in an overt policy, despite it being a war crime and a crime against humanity.”

Unfortunately, Bardem’s Israel-bashing isn’t new either for the “No Country for Old Men” Academy Award winner. At San Sebastian’s film festival in October, he lauded the International Criminal Court’s pursuit of “justice” against Israeli leadership.

“We’re witnessing crimes against human rights, crimes under international law, such as, for example, the banning of food, water, medicines, electricity, using, as UNICEF says, war against children and the trauma that’s being created for generations,” Bardem told the Associated Press at the time. “The security and prosperity of Israel and the health and future of a free Palestine will only be possible through a culture of peace, coexistence and respect.”
