New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted following a federal corruption investigation, according to The NY Times. The charges remain sealed, but Adams could be arrested as early as tomorrow, marking the first time a sitting NYC mayor faces criminal charges. Adams, a former police captain, was elected on a platform to reduce crime nearly three years ago.

His administration, already facing challenges, now faces further turmoil ahead of an upcoming mayoral primary. Adams’ representatives have not commented.
