Fallout over former President Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally continue to make headlines.

The Sunday night event, which saw comedian Tony Hinchcliffe deliver questionable joke about Puerto Rico, drew immediate condemnation from A-list celebrities including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, and Ricky Martin. But for Jewish actors in Hollywood it struck a particular nerve, such as with Ellen Barkin whose Jewish parents fled Russian persecution.

“Madison Square Garden is owned by James Dolan, a major supporter of Nazi Trump. His accomplice is one Irving Azoff, a Jew. A shonda for the goyim if ever one lived. May they suffer the pain of all who suffered at the hands of the Nazi regime,” Barkin wrote on X.

In separate posts on X, the former “Ocean’s 13” star advocated for a boycott of MSG after comparing the event to a Nazi rally held at MSG in 1939.

“I don’t wish death on anyone… except pedophiles and Nazis. The gang’s all here at MSG,” she wrote. “I’m thinking biblical. May the good earth beneath MSG open its fiery jaws and hurl them all straight into the burning cauldron of the nine circles. Going down, maggots?”

The Trump campaign has since distanced itself from Hinchcliffe’s performance, with campaign adviser Danielle Alvarez explicitly stating the comedian’s views did not reflect those of the candidate or campaign.

MSG Entertainment responded to the broader controversy with a statement emphasizing their political neutrality: “As a business, we are neutral in political matters. We rent to either side. We don’t censor artists, performers, or speakers.”

Dolan, MSG’s executive chairman and CEO, is reportedly a registered Democrat but maintains a friendship with Trump, who thanked him during the rally for his “incredible” support. President Joe Biden in March held an event at Radio City Music Hall, which is owned by the Dolan family, that was attended by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.
