Proving once again that an Oscar is no substitute for a degree in international relations, actor Javier Bardem treated attendees at this weekend’s San Sebastián International Film Festival in Spain to his opinion on the Gaza war.

“What is happening in Gaza is totally unacceptable, is terrible, is dehumanizing,” Bardem told Deadline. “I believe that the government of Israel is the most radical government in the history of Israel.”

Known for his roles in films like “No Country for Old Men” and “Dune: Part Two,” Bardem accused the Jewish State of committing crimes against humanity and violating international law.

“The impunity that the current Israeli government enjoys in its actions in Gaza and the West Bank has to change,” he stated. “I think that countries like the United States, Germany, and England especially have to reconsider their logic of behavior and unconditional support when we see human rights crimes against international law such as prohibiting the entry of food, water, medicine, and electricity.”

The Hollywood heavyweight also took aim at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, suggesting that the war in Gaza might be an attempt to deflect from corruption accusations. Disturbingly, the Spanish actor’s statements were met with applause from journalists at the event.

This isn’t the first time Bardem has spoken out on the Israeli-Arab conflict. In 2014, he signed an open letter condemning Israel’s defensive actions during Operation Protective Edge.He later tried to apologize in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Diario by claiming that he has great respect for Israel and deep compassion for their losses.

Is he this concerned about the people of Sudan, or Yemen or even the African Christians that are being slaughtered??? Or does he just get upset when Israel is involved????

Why does he not blame and accuse Hamas and Hezbollah responsible of this war ?
Why does he support Hamas and Hezbollah by his total silence concerning their crimes?
Why is he keeping hating the democratic israeli state and keep living quite the barbarians he knows perfectly ?
What does he know about this conflict ? What does he know about Israel? Has he been one time in his life in Israel?
All what he declares in his speech are exactly the words and ideas Hamas podcasts about jews and Israel. This guy is 100% propaganda!

What a fool he is, ignorant of the facts and trading on his celeb status.
But it is expected and par for the course from the Spanish.
    Have we forgotten the Inquisition?
