Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s “pay to slay” program continues to operate even as his government teeters on the brink of financial collapse.

The PA’s infamous “pay-to-slay” policy dispenses lavish cash rewards to Arabs and their families who carry out terror attacks against Israel. Despite the bloody nature of this incentive program, Abbas has not stopped paying terror stipends while letting his own people suffer the consequences.

According to Palestinian Media Watch, monthly payments to imprisoned terrorists have skyrocketed by $2 million. The surge comes after the PA recognized thousands of additional terrorists as eligible for the program, including nearly 900 captured in Gaza since fighting broke out after Oct. 7.

All told, over 9,750 terrorists are now recognized by the PA as qualifying for monthly payments. Once the processing of these new terrorists is complete, Abbas will be shelling out at least $16.4 million per month to reward terrorists.

Beyond swelling the ranks of terrorists it recognizes as prisoners, the PA continuously accepts Hamas’ skewed death toll figures in Gaza. Those 38,983 so-called “martyrs” are now eligible for one-time payments of $1,600 plus $385 monthly stipends to their families.

Israel has already made efforts to stop this heinous program. Following a series of terror attacks in Judea and Samaria in 2018, the Knesset passed a law withholding annual tax funds from the PA as long as Abbas continues to pay salaries to terrorists.

During Donald Trump’s presidency, US taxpayer money to the PA was permanently halted. However, when Joe Biden assumed office in 2021 he circumvented Trump’s ban by funneling millions to the corrupt United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and other non-governmental organizations. F

Under Biden’s watch American taxpayers have also shelled out over $1.5 billion in aid to Gaza, which has frequently been ransacked by Hamas terrorists.
