Newly elected President Masoud Pezeshkian wasted no time this week in reaffirming Iran’s intention to destroy Israel.

According to IRNA, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh spoke with Pezeshkian on Thursday, expressing gratitude for Iran’s support of his murderous terrorist organization and asked for increased military assistance against Israel. Pezeshkian, in turn, stressed that his country will never stop backing the Arab people.

During a conversation with Houthi leader Mahdi al-Mashat on Sunday, Pezeshkian praised Iran’s terror proxy for their “courageous measures” in targeting Israeli-linked ships in the Red Sea.

Despite coming off as a reformist during his campaign, Pezeshkian quickly showed his true colors by pledging allegiance to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s terror doctrine and made clear that no reconciliation with Israel will ever be made.

Just days after his surprising election victory, he penned a letter to Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, expressing Iran’s commitment to wipe Israel off the map.

“The Islamic Republic has always supported the resistance of the people of the region against the illegitimate Zionist regime. I am certain that the resistance movements in the region will not allow this regime to continue its warmongering and criminal policies against the oppressed people of Palestine and other nations of the region,” Pezeshkian wrote.

Nasrallah had earlier congratulated Pezeshkian on his “blessed” victory, highlighting Iran’s ongoing support for its “resistance” groups.

“We in Hezbollah and in all the resistance groups in the region always look to the Islamic Republic of Iran as a strong, stable and permanent support,” Nasrallah’s letter reads.
