Israel has reportedly offered Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar safe passage out of Gaza in exchange for the release of hostages and Hamas surrendering control of the territory.

Hostage envoy Gal Hirsch confirmed the proposal, adding that Israel is seeking demilitarization and a new governing system for Gaza. Although the offer is part of renewed efforts to negotiate a cease-fire, it remains unclear whether Hamas will accept, especially given Israel’s past targeted operations. Hirsch warned that if negotiations fail, Israel is prepared to take further action to recover the hostages and hold those responsible accountable.
