Rescued hostage Farhan Alkadi recounted his ordeal from October 7. While working on an Israeli kibbutz, he was captured by terrorists who demanded he reveal where Jews were hiding. Alkadi heroically refused, declaring he’d rather die than betray anyone.
Because he didn’t comply with them, the terrorists shot him in the leg, tied him up, and drove him to Gaza. Unable to walk, they forced him to crawl, mocking him as a “dog.” His leg was sewn up without anesthetic during interrogation. Reflecting on his treatment, Alkadi thought, “If this is how they treat Muslims, how were Jews treated?”
He was held with Aryeh Zalmanovich, a Jewish hostage who later died in his arms. Alkadi spent ten months in captivity before being rescued by the IDF.
