Israel’s police force has come under fire after a report suggests they have scaled back efforts in the search for a 32-year-old psychology student who vanished without a trace.

Yoram Hillel Fliter was last seen on security camera footage at a gas station near Ashkelon assisting soldiers against Hamas terrorists on October 7. His car was discovered in March parked near an oil press close to west Jerusalem with his wallet inside and possible sightings of him in the Modi’in area have been reported. “It’s unacceptable that a person disappears like this and the state doesn’t mobilize to find him. We are very concerned about his fate, and as days go by, it becomes harder to find him,” Yoram’s brother Abraham told Israel National News.

As a result, Yoram’s family is offering a cash reward for any information leading to his return and is hiring a private investigator now that the police investigation has slowed down.

“There is no day and no hour that we do not think of Yoram, our brother who is beloved to us and to everyone. We do not lose hope, and with each day that begins, we pray that this will be the day when we find our Yoram. We turn to you, to anyone who can help provide any detail, no matter how small,” Yoram’s other brother Daniel told the newspaper.
