A bombshell report has revealed that Iran is covertly backing Al-Qaeda.

According to the Afghanistan United Front (AUF), a meeting took place in Tehran where IRGC commander Esmail Qaani and Al-Qaeda leader Saif al-Adel agreed on cooperating in the Middle East and Africa.

Under the agreement, Iran would bear all expenses to provide training space and weaponry for Al-Qaeda terrorists in Afghanistan. In return, Iran’s own terror proxies of Hezbollah and the Houthis would receive support from the Taliban.

The meeting took place just two months after the Taliban’s swift takeover of Afghanistan following the US chaotic withdrawal in 2021. Qaani reportedly congratulated Saif al-Adel on his success, stating, “We all have done a great job; now we need to chase the Americans out of the Middle East as well.”

Unfortunately, this report is one of many in a series of allegations regarding Iran’s ties to Al-Qaeda.

In February, the U.S. State Department revealed that Iran facilitated and funded Al-Qaeda terrorist activities while harboring its leaders since 2009. In January 2021, then-U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused the Iranian regime of allowing Al-Qaeda to establish a terror headquarters within its borders after revelations emerged that Saif al-Adel was residing in Iran.

Evidence from the 9/11 Commission indicates that even Osama bin Laden turned to Iran for guidance in orchestrating simultaneous suicide attacks, similar to the devastating 1983 Beirut bombings that claimed the lives of 241 US Marines and 58 French soldiers.
