Thousands of people lined the streets to send off Sgt. Itay Amar HY”D (top left) to his final destination at the Kochav Yair cemetery on Sunday.

Amar, 19, from Kokhav Ya’ir-Tzur Yigal was a combat soldier in the 601st Battalion, Iron Trails Division, he fell in battle in the southern Gaza Strip, with 7 others in a Namer tank explosion, yesterday in Gaza.

Hundreds also attended the funeral of Sgt. Shalom Menachem HY”D, 21, of the Combat Engineering Corps’ 601st Battalion from Beit El who was killed in the tank explosion.

May all eight IDF heroes killed in action rest in peace and may their families know no more sorrow.
