Trump had been scheduled to stop at the iconic eatery, located in the heart of the Hasidic community, before traveling to Washington, D.C., for a “Combating Antisemitism” event.
Gottlieb, who had recently contracted pneumonia, passed away earlier today. The deli, founded by his Holocaust-survivor father, has been run by his son Menashe in recent years.
