General Charles Q. Brown, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, warned that the US might not be able to assist Israel in a war with Hezbollah, unlike its response to the Iran drone attack in April.

He emphasized that Iran would likely support Hezbollah more strongly than Hamas. Brown cautioned that an Israeli offensive in Lebanon could escalate into a broader conflict, endangering US forces.

He urged Israel to consider the regional impact and the safety of US troops, noting no recent attacks on US bases since February.
