In an upcoming interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” to be shown tonight, former hostage Yarden Bibas, who endured the harrowing ordeal of captivity and the devastating loss of his wife Shiri and two young sons Ariel and Kfir at the hands of Hamas terrorists, speaks out for the first time. Bibas makes a heartfelt appeal to former U.S. President Donald Trump, urging him to intervene to halt the ongoing conflict and facilitate the release of the 57 remaining hostages, including his close friends.

In a promotional excerpt from the interview, when asked by journalist Lesley Stahl about his message to Trump, Bibas implores, “Trump, please stop this war and help bring all the hostages back.” Stahl then inquires if he believes Trump can assist, to which Bibas responds emphatically, “I know he can help. I am here because of Trump. I am only here because of Trump.” 

The interview, set to air early Sunday evening also features fellow survivors Tal Shoham, and Keith and Aviva Siegel.  Their collective testimonies shed light on the ongoing plight of hostages and the urgent need for international intervention.

This appearance comes shortly after the 30-day memorial for Bibas’s wife, Shiri, and their children, Kfir and Ariel, who were tragically murdered in captivity. Their bodies were returned to Israel earlier this month as part of a collapsed hostage deal.

Bibas’s public appeal underscores the desperation and urgency felt by families of those still held captive, highlighting the critical role international leaders can play in resolving such humanitarian crises.
