Wounded IDF warrior and Ironman, Ziv Shilon lifts and dedicates a new Torah scroll for Chabad of Savyon in Central Israel.
Ziv, who was an officer in the Givati Brigade, was severely injured in Gaza, losing his left hand and severely damaging his right hand, despite that, he wanted to dedicate a new Torah scroll, and lift it high for all to see.
Recently, Ziv achieved the remarkable feat of completing the Ironman competition in Arizona, USA. Ironman is long-distance triathlon race that consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run, to be completed in a time limit of 17 hours. The total distance is 140.6 miles. Despite his severe injuries, he competed without restrictions alongside able-bodied athletes, crossing the finish line in 13 hours!
