Over 70 communities in northern Israel were jolted awake by air raid sirens this morning. According to the IDF, approximately 150 rockets and drones were launched from Lebanon towards Israel over the last 12 hours. Affected areas included Yokne’am, Nazareth, Afula, as well as communities in the Lower Galilee, Jezreel Valley, and the Carmel region.
Initial reports suggest that Hezbollah may have deployed its Fajr-5 missile for the first time since 2006. While most rockets were intercepted by Israel’s missile defense systems, one injury has been confirmed by Arutz Sheva.
Hezbollah quickly claimed responsibility for the attack, stating it was in retaliation for the Mossad’s explosive pager operation.
