Sgt. Yair Roitman HY”D, a 19-year-old IDF soldier from the Givati Brigade,succumbed to his injuries on Saturday after being critically wounded in an explosion in a rigged building on June 10.

The video captures Sgt. Roitman in happier times from a few months ago when he surprised his mother, a school teacher, during a brief respite from his duties in Gaza.
