German police are investigating a disturbing incident in which two individuals performed the “Nazi salute” in front of a Jewish man.

As per Arutz Sheva, citing a local police spokesman, the incident took place several days ago when a 46-year-old Jewish man was walking in the Biesdorf quarter of Berlin. The two suspects approached the Jewish man, verbally abused him, and mocked his Jewish identity. They then brazenly performed the Nazi salute in his presence, an act that was witnessed by several bystanders who promptly intervened.

Since the outbreak of the war in Gaza on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 people and the taking of 250 hostages by Hamas terrorists, Germany has taken significant measures to curb antisemitism and support for Hamas.

In the capital city of Berlin, authorities have imposed limitations on pro-Palestinian marches and have granted schools the authority to ban the display of Palestinian flags and the wearing of keffiyeh scarves. Moreover, the use of the pro-Palestinian slogan “From the river to the sea” has been criminalized throughout Germany.

However, that has not stopped Hamas sympathizers from vandalizing a Berlin memorial dedicated to Jewish children on New Year’s Eve, nor has it prevented a Berlin synagogue from being firebombed in late October.
