Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that it had wrapped up an operation on the outskirts of Nuseirat in Central Gaza.

According to the IDF, over 40 terror targets in the city were destroyed, including booby-trapped buildings, hidden rocket launchers, structures used by terrorists as gathering points, observation points, and weapons storage sites. An airstrike was ordered to neutralize a Hamas cell that was operating an armed drone, and the 401st Armored Brigade successfully demolished a terror tunnel network that connected Nuseirat with Gaza City.

In the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, IDF soldiers concluded a mission to remove Hamas and Islamic Jihad fighters who were attempting to regroup inside two school buildings being used as civilian shelters. The troops first evacuated the civilians before engaging the terrorists who had been using them as human shields. The terrorists who resisted were killed, while those who surrendered were taken into custody. One soldier was seriously wounded during the mission, but no civilian casualties were reported.

Meanwhile, the Times of Israel reports that preparations for the Rafah ground operation are moving forward, with the 162nd and 98th Divisions expected to lead the operation.
