A stabbing attack at a Friendly shopping mall in Gan Yavne late Sunday seriously injured three Israelis.

According to a police statement, the terrorist, a 19-year-old Arab from the town of Dura, used two knives in the attack. Two men aged 25 and 20, along with a 17-year-old boy, received urgent care for multiple stab wounds from Magen David Adom (MDA) before being rushed to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod in serious condition. Two of the victims were subsequently transferred to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva for neurosurgery.

The terrorist was neutralized by security officers at the scene.

Reports indicate the terrorist had illegally entered Israel through a gap in the security fence, with investigations underway to determine if he had been unlawfully working at the mall. He reportedly had been previously issued a work permit, now expired, which had been valid for an industrial zone inside Judea and Samaria.

This attack occurred hours after an IDF officer was moderately wounded in a separate stabbing at Beersheva’s central bus station, with the terrorist also being neutralized by military personnel.
