Former President Donald Trump criticized his rival, President Joe Biden, for abandoning Israel in its time of need during an NBC interview Monday night on “Real America’s Voice.”

“Biden is no fan of Israel,” Trump stated, adding, “Any Jewish person that votes for Biden does not love Israel and, frankly, should be spoken to.”

Trump contended that Biden is “totally on the side of the Palestinians,” despite assuring Israel that it has the right to defend itself. The former president also suggested that Jews vote Democrat “by habit” and reiterated his belief that, had he been president, the Hamas attack on southern Israel on Oct. 7 would never have occurred.

In response to the former president’s comments, Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer told NBC, “Jewish Americans do not need to be ‘spoken to’ or threatened by Donald Trump.”

“Trump appears to threaten Jewish Americans who vote against him: They, frankly, should be spoken to,” Singer commented. “This is what Trump does, using division and hate as political weapons while seeking power for himself.”

During his presidency, Trump demonstrated a warm relationship with Israel through a series of decisive actions and policy shifts.

In 2017, Trump took a historic step by officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, breaking from decades of US foreign policy. This move was followed by the relocation of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2018 and the recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights in 2019.

Perhaps one of the most significant diplomatic contributions Trump made to the Jewish State was the signing of the Abraham Accords in 2020. This agreement led to the normalization of relations between Israel and several Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.
