In a video going viral on social media, a student at Florida International University complained that anti-Jewish student protesters are not receiving enough protection.

“In every single protest that we have, our actions have had counter-protesters, and there is never any backlash and never police protecting us. In fact, our police are directly protecting counter-protesters even at our events,” the student in the video says.

“So I want to ask you all, are Palestinian lives not worth mourning? And we, as Arab, Palestinian, Muslim, and anti-Jewish students, are we not worth protecting?”

According to Israel Hayom, the controversial comments were made during a February debate on a ‘Ceasefire now’ resolution at a student government meeting.

Her comments drew immediate backlash from a blogger called The Right Scoop, who wrote, as cited in the report, “Just imagine the outrage if she said ‘anti-black’? For some reason, it’s okay to say ‘anti-Jewish’; that’s seen as acceptable when something like ‘anti-black’ would elicit anger and would have far greater consequences.”

Ever since anti-Israel protests broke out at Columbia University in April, demonstrations have been staged at nearly 140 college campuses in the US, leading to over 2,500 arrests. Recently, pro-Hamas fever has spread to universities across Europe, with illegal protests happening on campuses in Amsterdam, Germany, and Paris.”
