The Israel Defense Forces has recently unveiled footage that captured an operation against Hamas terrorists within a residential complex in Hamad Town, situated in the southern sector of Gaza’s Khan Younis.
The operation began when the elite Maglan commando unit of the IDF spotted Hamas operatives on the fifth floor of an apartment building in Hamad. The IDF commandos entered the floor directly beneath the gunmen, leading to an engagement that saw the use of sophisticated Rafael SPIKE FireFly loitering munitions, also referred to as suicide drones.
The confrontation intensified as the terrorists retaliated with rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), leading to a fierce exchange of fire. According to the IDF, the initial encounter resulted in the elimination of two of the terrorists followed by an airstrike targeting the building, which successfully neutralized the remaining two Hamas terrorists.
