A civilian has discovered a severely decomposed body near the Sha’ar Henegev Junction in southern Israel, according to police.

Alongside the body, officers found a military vest and a shirt bearing “Arabic writing,” which appears to be the logo of Hamas’s military wing, the al-Qassam Brigades.

The body has been taken for identification, and police are investigating whether it is linked to the October 7 attack.
