Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah continued to rise on Monday after a Hezbollah suicide drone exploded near Metula in northern Israel, reports Arutz Sheva.

In response to the drone attack, Israel’s military launched strikes against a camp in the Arab al-Lawiza area in southern Lebanon allegedly belonging to Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force.

Earlier on Monday, Hezbollah fired approximately thirty rockets at the southern Golan Heights. Although no injuries were sustained in the attack, the missiles caused light damage to several homes in Kidmat Tzvi and agricultural fields in the area.

On Sunday, northern Israel came under siege when Hezbollah rockets struck Kiryat Shemona. The strikes hit several locations across the city, sparking fires and disrupting the city’s electricity supply. Several vehicles, a residence, an emergency medical transport, and a volunteer-run organization that was in the process of preparing meals for senior citizens were all damaged in the attack. Shrapnel from one of the rockets wounded a woman, age 65, who received medical treatment for her injuries, according to the report.

In response, the IDF carried out heavy airstrikes in several towns in southern Lebanon and shelled Hezbollah positions along the border.
