A 61-year-old Israeli man, believed to have been kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak in southern Israel on October 7 by Hamas terrorists, has been confirmed to have been murdered on that day. His body remains in the custody of Hamas in Gaza. In a statement on Tuesday, the Hostages Families Forum Headquarters confirmed Lior Rudaeff’s murder, pledging to continue providing assistance and support to his family until his body is returned to Israel for a proper burial.

“The Israeli government has a profound moral duty to pursue every avenue in the current negotiations to bring Lior home. He deserves a dignified burial in his homeland, alongside the 38 other hostages brutally murdered. The government must also secure the swift return of all living hostages, so they can begin the long road to healing and recovery.”

Rudaeff was a dedicated ambulance driver and volunteer medic. On Oct. 7, he bravely went out to aid in the defense of the kibbutz and to save lives. He reportedly managed to send a message indicating he had been injured, expressing his love for his wife, Yaffa, and their four children, but all communication ceased thereafter.
