An NYC exhibition showcasing the tragic Hamas attack at the Nova Music Festival in southern Israel on October 7 has been largely overlooked by the public.

In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, ‘Nova’ exhibit co-founder Scooter Braun, pointed out the stark contrast in the international response to the 2017 attack at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas and the bombing outside an Ariana Grande concert in England. Despite being the deadliest incident in this somber chapter of music history, Braun noted that the Nova festival massacre has been largely met with silence.

“The events of Nova are not only being forgotten — they’re being ignored,” Braun said. “Just stop for a minute and ask yourself, do kids dancing deserve to die? And the answer is no. So just give the exhibit an opportunity and have empathy in your heart for all sides.”

Fully titled “Nova: Oct. 7 6:29 AM, The Moment Music Stood Still,” the traveling exhibition serves as a powerful commemoration of the massacre, aiming to raise awareness about the lives lost and the impact on survivors.  The exhibit spans over 50,000 square feet near the 9/11 Memorial in downtown Manhattan and follows a successful 10-week display in Tel Aviv.

Visitors are confronted with haunting artifacts from the massacre site, including bullet-riddled bathroom stalls, scorched cars, and personal belongings left behind by victims. Testimonies from survivors and a photo gallery of those murdered by Hamas are also showcased.
