Police are continuing the search for a 9-year-old girl, who has been missing from the northern city of Safed for two weeks.

Haymanut Kasau was last seen on security footage at 7:45 p.m. on February 25, distributing municipal election leaflets outside the Jewish Agency absorption center in Safed, her home for the last three years since moving from Ethiopia with her family. Despite ongoing efforts there are currently no new leads in the case, as per Arutz Sheva.

Police have ruled out the possibility of abduction by a relative abroad but are still investigating the possibilities of sex offenders. Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai is personally overseeing the investigation, while National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has promised that “no stone will be left unturned” to bring her back safely.

Kasau is described as 1.20 meters (3’11”) tall, slim, with dark hair and eyes, and was last seen wearing pink pants, a black skirt, and a white shirt. The Jewish Agency has announced a reward of NIS 100,000 ($27,500) for information that leads to her location.
