The Biden administration is quietly slowing down military aid to Israel, reports ABC News.

According to a senior Israeli official who requested anonymity, the transfers of military aid “were coming very fast” in the early days of the war but are now finding that they’re “very slow.” In addition, the IDF is in short supply of 155 mm artillery shells and 120 mm tank shells.

The official quoted in Thursday’s story said he wasn’t sure what was causing the slowdown in shipments, but Israeli leadership is well aware of President Biden’s concerns about how the war is being handled. Reportedly, the Biden administration has talked about ways to put pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to change his plans in Gaza, specifically to stop plans for an all-out ground operation in Rafah.

The White House National Security Communications Adviser, John Kirby, responded to the allegations with vagueness.

“I’m not going to get into the timeline for every individual system that’s being provided,” Kirby told ABC News. “We continue to support Israel with their self-defense needs. That’s not going to change, and we have been very, very direct about that.”
