Former President Donald Trump is claiming that votes for Democrats are votes against Israel.

During a recent podcast interview with his former adviser Sebastian Gorka, Trump expressed his belief that American Jews supporting the Democratic Party are not acting in their best interests or in the interests of Israel.

“Any Jewish person that votes for Democrats hates their religion,” Trump said. “They hate everything about Israel, and they should be ashamed of themselves, because Israel will be destroyed.”

Trump highlighted a recent speech by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who advocated for new elections in Israel, and his distaste for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to the former president, it demonstrates unwanted US interference in Israeli affairs. He accused Schumer and all Democrats of abandoning their previously pro-Israel stances due to electoral considerations influenced by pro-Arab demonstrations.

“Don’t forget, when you see those Palestinian marches, even I am amazed at how many people are in those marches,” Trump said.

“Guys like Schumer see that, and to him, it’s votes. I think it’s votes more than anything else because he was always pro-Israel. He’s very anti-Israel now.”

Trump reiterated his claim originally made on Fox News’ “MediaBuzz,” asserting that the October 7 Hamas attack would not have happened if he were still president.
