The acclaimed creators behind the hit Israeli TV series ‘Fauda’ have been enlisted to script a new feature film titled ‘October 7th’, detailing the harrowing true story of Hamas’s unprovoked attack.

The project will reportedly focus on retired Israeli general Noam Tibon, who garnered international attention when he rescued his family from the clutches of Hamas on that fateful day in 2023. It marked one of the most devastating Arab terror campaigns in years, leaving nearly 1,200 Israeli civilians dead in the deadliest single day for the Jewish state since its founding.

“When faced with the horrors of that fateful day, Noam Tibon immediately charged into danger to protect his family,” Fauda creators Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz told Deadline.

“His gripping story transcends any religion, country, or conflict – it beautifully reflects the sacrifices we are willing to make for those we love. We are proud to help amplify Noam’s bravery and provide some hope and inspiration during these difficult times.”

For Leviathan Productions, enlisting the ‘Fauda’ creators provides an opportunity to capture that searing national trauma and heroism through the prism of one man’s selfless actions to protect his family at all costs. Noam and his son Amir Tibon will serve as consultants on the project.

With its creators’ military experiences informing the show’s raw authenticity, Fauda has been widely praised for its nuanced exploration of the Israeli-Arab conflict over four acclaimed Netflix seasons. In addition to Fauda, Issacharoff and Raz previously teamed on ‘Ghosts of Beirut’ for Showtime and Netflix’s ‘Hit & Run’.

Founded by author Josh Foer, Leviathan is an independent studio focused on developing content exploring Jewish history, folklore, and stories about Israel and its conflicts. Their upcoming slate includes remakes of the French thriller ‘The Man in the Basement’ and an adaptation of Victoria Saker Woeste’s ‘Henry Ford’s War on Jews’.

They had better not show sympathy to Gaza or Hamas. No more “nuanced” interpretations please. Portray them as the barbarians they are!

How will all the atrocities be filmed? I can’t imagine it being accurate in that way, but I would like the world to see exactly what happened.

The creators of fauda humanized their Arab terrorist characters even going to the extent of having them kidnap a young Jewish couple from their forest outing and treating them more or less humanely. They were not abused as we know they would have been in a real life scenario. Issacharoff has been a journalist for HAARETZ for many years touting the pro Arab stance as if they have equal legitimacy / right to the land of Israel. I hope he will not be given a free hand to write such humanizing dribble about Arab demons in future seasons of fauda or in any other endeavor with other Israeli writers. I sincerely hope his eyes have been opened to the reality he so painstakingly seeks to deny and revise in order to support his magical thinking and anti Israel anti Jewish agenda.
