Hamas launched mortar attacks on Israeli forces escorting a United Nations humanitarian aid convoy in central Gaza on Tuesday, with the incident captured on video.

The IDF and COGAT had been organizing a UNICEF convoy to help children from northern Gaza reunite with their families in the south.

The footage shows at least one mortar landing just a few meters from soldiers and a UN vehicle. Despite the attack, the convoy proceeded as planned, and there were no injuries.

“During the coordinated operation, Hamas fired a projectile at the humanitarian route near the UNICEF aid convoy and IDF soldiers securing the area, Although the IDF strives to enhance humanitarian aid for Gaza’s residents, Hamas continues to exploit these efforts and put Gazan civilians at risk” the IDF said in a statement.
