A Portland teachers union has come under fire for publishing an official guide coaching members on how to inject radical Hamas propaganda into classroom curricula.

The 32-page classroom instruction manual by the Portland Association of Teachers (PAT), titled “Know Your Rights! Teaching and Organizing for Palestine,” calls for depicting Israel as an apartheid regime guilty of “genocide” against Arabs.

Rather than providing balance and historical nuance, the overtly one-sided curriculum actively instructs its members to disseminate the most inflammatory antisemitic tropes through classroom lessons.

“English Language Arts teachers are protected in their right to use diverse and culturally relevant mentor texts such as literature on Palestine as a means to teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking,” the manual reads.

“Palestinian resistance is a political struggle for self-determination against colonial and apartheid rule. It is not hostility between Jewish and Arab or Muslim people.”

By explicitly organizing teachers to help brainwash young minds, PAT has desecrated public trust in the apolitical role of educators.

“PAT is not only engaged in highly inappropriate anti-Israel political advocacy, now they are promoting what they call a ‘curriculum,’ which is, in fact, mere propaganda” reads a statement by the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland.

 “It is one-sided, biased, and historically inaccurate, and it attacks Zionism, which is an integral part of Jewish identity for the majority of Jews worldwide.”

The Federation also claimed that PAT’s fusion of “activism” with classroom instruction meets even the State Department’s criteria for defining anti-Semitism, demanding Portland school officials forcefully renounce the antisemitic material before their institutions become unsafe environments for Jewish students and teachers.
