Students at Columbia University may of had professional help from notorious anti-Israel activists during their weeks-long campus protests.

As per the Washington Post, anti-Israel student organizers at Columbia University sought guidance for months from the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP) and former members of the Black Panthers . The students were allegedly shown cartoons that provided suggestions for “non-violent” resistance such as throwing smoke bombs, jumping over barriers, and lifting garbage cans.

In March, a “Resistance 101” training session was held virtually with guest speakers from Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, an antisemitic organization that had celebrated the October 7 Hamas massacre in Israel.

During the nearly two-hour virtual session, Charlotte Kates, a coordinator for Samidoun, encouraged students to build an “international popular cradle of the resistance.” She also stated that there was nothing wrong with being a fighter for Hamas, describing them as “the people that are on the front lines defending Palestine,” according to the report.

NSJP, which has over 300 chapters nationwide, has been banned from numerous college chapters due to its use of hate speech and advocacy of violence. The pro-Hamas organization receives funding from the Wespac Foundation, a nonprofit that the Anti-Defamation League has repeatedly criticized for backing groups that promote anti-Jewish sentiment.
