Hezbollah has announced the death of Taleb Abdullah, a senior commander, following an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Tuesday.

The attack took place in Jouaiyya, and Abdullah was from Aadachit.

Hezbollah’s statement referred to his death as happening “on the road to Jerusalem,” a term they use for Israeli strikes. Notably, the group rarely labels its high-ranking terrorists killed by Israel as commanders; the last such case was Wissam al-Tawil, deputy head of the elite Radwan unit, killed by Israel in January.

Reports indicate that Abdullah was in charge of a regional division in southern Lebanon.
