In a video going viral on social media, Herzl Hajaj, the  father of 22-year-old Lt. Shir Hajaj, who was murdered in a 2017 car ramming attack, confronts staff and security forces who were treating a Hamas terrorist at the Hadassah Mt. Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem.

The slain soldier’s father was removed from the premises by security after demanding the terrorist who “murdered, raped, and slaughtered Jews” not be treated by Israeli medical personnel, according to local reports.

Hajaj was one of four soldiers killed in a car-ramming attack near the promenade in Jerusalem’s Armon Hanatziv neighborhood in January 2017. The terrorist identified as Fadi al-Qunbar drove a large flatbed truck into the soldiers who were just getting off the bus. After he hit the soldiers, he put the vehicle in reverse and began to run over them a second time. Sixteen others were hurt before al-Qunbarwas was shot and killed by a soldier and a civilian tour guide.

At the time, Hamas praised the attack by handing out sweets in Gaza’s streets. Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanou called it a “heroic” action and encouraged other Arabs to do the same to help “escalate the resistance.”
