American Rap star Azealia Banks announced her concert tour which will take place in Tel Aviv’s Barby club in Israel.

“TEL AVIV, ISTANBUL, SEOUL, LONDON, TOKYO”!!!! ISRAEL IM COMING FINALLY!!!!!!,” read her Instagram post.

No sooner did she post the announcement of coming to Israel, when she started receiving a massive backlash of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel comments from the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement (also known as the BDS Movement) who pressured her to cancel the concert in Israel.

One commenter wrote: “You are known as a supporter of blacks, until it comes to joining the global force that is calling for a boycott against Israel, in order to make a small profit.”

Another commenter said: “Have u actually watched or read any news besides bias Zionist news??? Do u know how much death and destruction Israel has caused Palestine? It’s horrific.”

“Israel is killing innocent children everyday,is that what you are supporting and standing for @azealiabanks?????” said another commenter.

But instead of buckling to the pressure like other performers who had concerts scheduled in Israel, Banks lashed back and skewers her detractors. Banks was not afraid to call out the hundreds of anti-Israeli activists who criticized her for going to Israel.

“My fans in Israel have been waiting years for me to come,” she said in a comment on her original post.

“I too live in a country which has its issues but I cannot hold my fans in America responsible for Our country’s problems and deny them the right to a good time. The Kuntbrigade (the name Banks refers to her fans) is GLOBAL honey. The KUNTS connection rises far above any political influence. We connect through music and and love,” She said.

Banks said that music should tie people together and does not have to be ruined by politics. She accused the BDS activists of double standards as they keep Israeli residents disproportionately responsible for the country’s political policies in relation to the citizens of other nations political policies.

“Me cancelling my concert would be totally anti-Semitic and I’m not going to EVER make any of my fans feel like they don’t have a place in my heart. I’m going to Tel-Aviv to rock out with my kunts and that is THE END OF THE DISCUSSION.”

The statements from Banks stand in stark contrast to pop star, Lorde, who canceled her concert in Israel after pressure from BDS activists. Lorde was widely criticized for cancelling her concert in Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, due to ‘human rights considerations.” yet she has scheduled concerts in Russia, a brutal regime that is involved in the massacre in Syria.

Florida State Representative Randy Fine has called on the Florida state government to not allow Lorde to perform in Florida, stating that: “The taxpayers of Miami and Tampa should not have to facilitate bigotry and antisemitism.”
