Four Israeli police officers were injured in a car-ramming attack at a checkpoint just north of Tel Aviv on Tuesday night.

Initial reports indicate a 26-year-old terrorist from the Arab Israeli town of Tira ran over the four policemen at the Kochav Yair checkpoint and fled the scene. He was later confronted at the Eliyahu Crossing, which divides Israel and Judea & Samaria. There, he attempted to stab security personnel but was swiftly neutralized.

The injured were taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva and Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba for treatment. One officer is listed in serious condition, another is moderately injured, and two others have sustained minor injuries.

This latest incident marks the second stabbing attack in less than two days amid the ongoing Gaza conflict. Ob Sunday, a stabbing attack at a Friendly shopping mall in Gan Yavne left three Israelis severely injured. The 19-year-old terrorist allegedly infiltrated Israel through a security fence breach and was neutralized at the site of the attack. Authorities are now piecing together his background, including the possibility that he was working at the mall without proper authorization.
