In a joint operation between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet on Thursday, two senior Hamas operatives from the terror group’s Jabaliya Battalion were eliminated by airstrikes.

As per the IDF, Mohammed Abdallah Ridwan served as police chief in Jabaliya, a camp located in northern Gaza. He is responsible for facilitating hostile takeovers of humanitarian aid trucks in the northern Gaza Strip. A second strike yesterday killed Hamed Muhammad Ali Ahmed, who was also responsible for security in Jabaliya and involved in Hamas terrorism.

Despite withdrawing the majority of its troops from Gaza, Israel has continued to conduct targeted raids and airstrikes in the Gaza Strip.

IDF forces entered Nuseirat in Central Gaza for the first time during the war this week following an intelligence lead about terrorist infrastructure. During the operation, IDF troops successfully destroyed several rocket launchers and eliminated several Hamas terrorists, one of whom emerged unexpectedly from a previously unknown tunnel.

Meanwhile, Arab civilians have started to return to Khan Younis. The IDF has reportedly been assisting in clearing rubble and repairing water lines. This support has been extended to Gaza City as well, leaving military analysts to suggest that these actions may be aimed at encouraging Arabs to voluntarily leave Rafah before an anticipated ground operation.
