More than a thousand people gathered outside the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan to support Israel on Sunday.

The rally, organized by the Anti-Defamation League saw many supporters waving Israeli flags and wearing hats reading “Bring Them Home Now.” The rally included a demonstration meant to portray the suffering of those still being held by Hamas in Gaza. It involved seven individuals sitting in dog cages on the ground, all of them bound with chains, while three stood nearby, their hands linked by chains. They were all dressed in white, with red paint splashed across their outfits to symbolize suffering.

Luis Har, a former Oct. 7 hostage rescued after spending 129 days in captivity, offered testimony of his torment through remarks delivered on his behalf by his son-in-law.

“Six months ago, I was brutally taken out of my house with my family,” Har recalled. “I will never forget the hate on the faces of the Hamas terrorists who broke into our house, breaking everything in their way, shooting inside our house, screaming, and threatening us.”

“All 133 hostages that are still in Gaza must come back home. I can’t start my healing process until everyone is back home. None of us can,” he said.

On Friday, the UN Human Rights Council passed a resolution calling for an arms embargo on Israel to help prevent “human rights violations” in the Gaza Strip.
