Eight Israelis who took part in the search for murdered teen Binyamin Achimeir have been arrested for arson and property damage.

According to Arutz Sheva, Israeli police raided the homes of eight Israeli citizens at 4 am in various locations across Judea and Samaria, including Yitzhar, Rehovot, and Shilo. The majority of them are said to be married and participated in searches and roadblocks as part of the effort to find the murdered 14-year-old.

Achimeir was reported missing on April 12, and his body was discovered the following day near his village of Malachei Shalom. The teen had suffered severe head trauma, and investigators found a blood-stained knife, a rock, and Achimeir’s smashed phone near his body. The gruesome murder sparked violent clashes between Israelis and Arabs in the village of al-Mughayyir in Judea and Samaria, leading to the death of one Arab and injuries to 25 others. The unrest quickly spread to the nearby village of Douma, where six Arabs were wounded, and several homes were set on fire by arsonists.

Israeli authorities suspect that Arab terrorists are behind the brutal killing and are conducting an ongoing manhunt for suspects in the Ramallah area.
