A 25-year-old IDF reservist from the Binyamin region was wounded to a minor degree this morning by shrapnel from an IED. The device detonated while he was trying to remove a Palestinian flag planted near the town of Kochav Hashachar.

The individual, later identified as 28-year-old Israeli Levi, received on-site medical attention for minor injuries before being transported to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Hospital, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service.

Arutz Sheva reports that shortly after the incident, terrorists targeted the town of Meirav in the Gilboa region with gunfire. Although no casualties were reported, the attack caused damage to a residential property. In response, the IDF is sweeping the area to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for both the IED attack and the subsequent shooting.

In a separate incident, two Arab terrorists attempted to attempted to stab and shoot IDF soldiers near Hebron. Both terrorists were neutralized, and no Israeli casualties were reported.
