New details have emerged regarding the 14-year-old shepherd recently murdered by Arab terrorists in Judea and Samaria.
After an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) surveillance drone spotted Benjamin Achimeir near his village of Malachei Shalom on Saturday, the first two people to reach the lifeless body were IDF Brigadier General Hazi Nehama and Eliyahu Libman, whose son is being held by Hamas, according to Arutz Sheva.
Libman described to Arutz Sheva a particularly “particularly cruel and horrifying” crime scene. Achimeir’s body was found in a shocking state, with his head violently crushed by a rock. Nearby, there was a blood-stained knife and another rock, with the victim’s smashed phone close by.
Achimeir was reported missing on Friday and found the following day following an extensive search. Israeli officials suspect that Arab terrorists committed the murder and are still searching for suspects in the Ramallah area. Following Achimeir’s death, clashes erupted between Israelis and Arabs in the village of al-Mughayyir in Judea and Samaria, leading to one Arab fatality and 25 injuries. The unrest spread to Douma, where several homes were set ablaze and six people were injured.
